To Merge owning the means of production is more than owning gear.  It implies a responsibility to ourselves as artists and to our clients in maintaining the highest level of expertise and fluency in using the tools.  And just as importantly it's about being part of a community of visual media experts.  Our choices have been carefully influenced by this community as it reflects our clients' needs and translates Merge's core values: creative, the highest standards, lean, independent.  At the core of Merge's in-house tool kit are systems that unify production and post-production: the Red camera and Assimilate Scratch system.
